Overseas Insurance History

Recognition of Overseas Auto Insurance History

Use your overseas auto insurance history to start your first car insurance policy in Korea at a lower premium.

Many foreigners who purchase car insurance in Korea say that Korean car insurance is expensive. The main reason is that, regardless of how long you have been driving in your home country, Korean insurers classify you as having no recognized insurance history and apply their highest rate when you purchase car insurance in Korea for the first time.

The premium can feel especially expensive if you already have many years of driving and insurance experience and currently pay a lower premium in your home country.

Our service begins by helping our customers obtain the lowest possible car insurance premium.

Many Korean insurance companies recognize auto insurance history issued by foreign insurance companies and apply a rate based on that experience. However, each insurer has different document requirements, so documents that customers have spent time preparing are often rejected.

Some insurers accept an insurance card, while others also recognize a certificate or a letter issued by the overseas insurance company.

Based on more than 10 years of experience, we tell our customers exactly which documents are required. We handle the process so that they can avoid unnecessary inconvenience and purchase car insurance at the lowest available premium.

Start your first car insurance policy in Korea at a lower premium than other providers offer.

Even if you have no overseas insurance history or cannot obtain the required documents, your renewal premium can decrease by 40% or more in some cases after one accident-free year.
